Is this a commercial game, or your own creation? I ask because the cards have that commercial quality about them. If they're your creation, then well done!

hahaha, I wish!
they are all mine (except the art of course), and will only be for print and play (free).
Who knows, maybe one day I get a call from Lucasarts.. :P
Stay tuned for more info and spoilers.
BTW, the game will be cetnered around the Clone wars TV series, so probably there will not ba a Darth Maul, or Vader. (unless they make it into the series of course).
thanks for the compliment!

Hey dude, I'm sorta new trying this and I was looking at your cards and howja get em' all "official" like that? Like you got health stats text bar...How did you do that? did you use a program or just photoshop or gimp? If you could help a noobie it would really be cool. Thanks

Hi man, thanks for checking this game out. To create a good card layout, i would first look at a lot of card games already out there and get inspiration and ideas.
Then start with just a simple card with a black border, some boxes for text and some art.
Then put a texture behind it, and start playing with layer options.
it is all a matter of trial and error.
I use Photoshop for these cards.

One suggestion that I would like to make is that at some point you add the card text to the site for each card. At some point soon you'll have enough cards that people will want to search for a specific card, or look for cards with certain traits to add to their decks. Currently the "content" for each card only exists in the card image - it would be useful if at some point that text was also included in the card descriptions so that people can search within the card text.
I know this is difficult to do when the cards are ever-changing, but it would be useful if you ever get a chance.

Ugh.. I wish I did this from the beginning. Adding the text for almost 100 cards is a very tedious job..
Luckily it did provide me with an oppertunity to re-read all the cards, and boy, I found about 40 (!!!!) wrongly worded cards. so I need to change those first when I have the time. mostly clearing up texts, adding the "generated Force instead of just "Force", and providing an overall equalness to the way cards are worded.
I think the first will set end up to have the following cards:
40 Republic Character cards
40 CIS Character cards
30 neutral cards
20 location cards
----+
130 cards. I know, a bit on the low side, but I think it will do for now. the second set will have around 60 cards I guess. 15/15/15 characters, 5 locations and 10 cards of a new card type t.b.a.....
This weekend another test session coming up, and boy, do I want to take out some droids for a spin! and play Darth Sidious to kill some clones!...And stack some anti Senator Palpatine cards.. he twarts my plans too much! Maybe I should just start with the Teth location in play..gna gna gna...

@ Chokehold and UltraKoolz:
If you head over to The Game Crafter (.com; take the spaces out :-D), their template for card submission is GREAT if you're doing GIMP or Photoshop and are kind of in need of help (like me!).

Thanks for the link, but I highly doubt that they are willing to publish the Clone wars card game that has Copyright Infringment written all over it, hahaha..
The template was ok, and I will surely check them out when I am creating my next game, (which will actually be in print): The Dark.

Hey does are pretty good cards, I have been looking into other games and most of them have 50 cards with horrible graphics, or 1 with ok graphics, how long did you spend making these???

Hey there. it took me around 2 weeks to finalise the rough rules, then about a month to get the different templates right. around another month to get gametext for the cards and fill in into the templates.
after that a lot of time needed to fix errors and to unify game text on cards, while fixing and tweaking the rules.
al in all about a year I guess, not constantly working on it of course.
Most important part are the rules. they set the borders in design space for the cards.
